Girl Scout trip to Bogus Basin

I was pretty nervous about the ride up , but it turned out to be easy peasy. The roads were dry and clear and not much traffic. It was a little wet and icy close to the top, but not bad.

All bundled up and ready to go.

Russell is especially amused by Dad's poses.

This is the snow tubing hill. I knew it was going to be steep, so we already decided that Will and I were not going to go. I asked him several times if he wanted to and it was always a firm 'NO'.

Tim, Russell, and Autumn jumped right on and shot down the hill.

Once you get down to the bottom, you get to hook your tube up to a rope and you are pulled up the hill. You can see it on the far right of this pic. Oh, BTW - that's me and Autumn sliding down. I figured I should try it once. I pretty much closed my eyes and screamed the whole way down. I hate that kind of sensation. So, I tried it, but only once.

Will was happy to sit at the tables, drink cocoa, and basically be in denial that we were even there. He played in the snow for awhile, but overall - situations like this are hard for him. (this next sentence is what he wanted me to 'spell' when he saw me working on this)

William is not going to slide down, but he is scared.

Autumn was so cute and BRAVE!! She loved every moment of it and barely stopped the whole time. She spent time with Tim and Russell, by herself, and then with her Girl Scout leader and friends.
