Hmm… two weeks and no blog post. This one was almost nonexistent too. I started a post and along came a child and closed my page. Typing something on the computer and then losing it has got to rank as one of the all time top frustrations. Makes you want to scream. Anyhow, we just finished up several weeks of pizza crust making. Our large order is due and we are limited on time and space, so it had to be stretched out over a longer time. That’s ok. Business is good. Orders come in, happy customers write us emails and we have to find time to create more crusts. We are very thankful for the work.
So, what’s up with everyone. Let’s see – Tim is still at his same job. Still works 6-3. Changes are happening at the company, but so far all is ok. He’s been working very hard since we make pizzas on his off time. Not to mention the vacuum sealing of the crusts which actually takes the most time. Unfortunately, with all the work he has not had much time for extra fun things. But I have ideas churning in my head for a little vacation for us, so we’ll see if that can be pulled off.
Russell is doing well at the high school. He is doing awesome with handling getting up early and catching the bus at 7:30, being in school till 3, then football practice till 5:30 or 6. His games are on Thursdays.
Autumn loves walking to school. She goes early every morning for breakfast. Here all the schools serve a free breakfast to all students. She has a really great 5th grade teacher. Very on top of things and organized. She is really working with the kids on keeping their papers and work in order. I’m happy for this since that can be a trouble area. Autumns’ made some new friends – girls that live in our subdivision that she hadn’t met before. Which is nice since many of the girls on our street are younger. She has also joined the after school choir and they are planning some performances. Riding lessons are still once a week. Really loving that.
William has a really nice 1st grade teacher. I really believe we made the right choice for him to stay back in first grade. He is spending nearly all of the day in the regular classroom with the help of an aide. She is great with him and can tell when he needs a break or heading for a meltdown. I still am taking him to horseback riding therapy. It will go till the beginning of October and then close for the winter. He can start again in the spring. So that is on Mondays and Tuesday thru Friday we have a home therapist at the house for three hours a day. We also just finished up an evaluation with a psychologist that specializes in Autism and RDI (relationship development intervention). He and his staff are awesome and I believe he can really help us move along in our treatment of Will.
*I * am just trying to keep up with them all and fit in some things that I want to do also. Fall is coming and it couldn’t come fast enough. I’m ready for the sun to set earlier, the cooler weather, the changing colors, and looking forward to the first snow fall. Now that we have been here a full year we know more of what to expect from the seasons.
So – how ‘bout some pictures?
First 2 pics - Russell #96
Second 2 - Us hicks in idaho like to bathe our dogs in the creek
Last 2 - Our girl at the ribbon cutting ceremony of the brand new elementary school. The choir she is in sang 'This land is our land'. All the kids in the choir wear these scarves. And a photo of the schools gym. It really is amazing to see a brand new school.
*oh, and if you are here checking out my blog - drop me a comment so I know I'm not just writing out into never never land.....*
