We bought a giant pumpkin seedling plant from the farmers market in June. Out of the one plant we grew two pumpkins and yards of vine with huge leaves. Here's one of the squash in July.
Today we decided to harvest them.
All of the pumpkins here were grown in our garden. We brought the bathroom scale out and the big one to the left weighed in at 50 lbs and the one to the right was 35 lbs. Not too shabby!
Tara,
Just so you know I am going to blogger stalk you. Actually, maybe you will wake up one morning and I will just be there. Just sitting on your couch hanging out with Will (who I really miss!). You guys ROCK and really are one of the best families that I have ever been around. I just read every single word of your blog and I was laughing so hard at some parts that I was actually crying!!
